Hire an agent
A short catalogue, on purpose.
Each one has answered real messages before it went on this page. That is a slow way to fill a catalogue, and it is why this one is short.
Your customers
Answers people who do not know you, on a channel they already use. These are the ones that wait two weeks before they can send anything.
Front desk
Knowledge assistant
Answers questions from what you tell it, and escalates the rest.
Cannot send anything for two weeks. You read the drafts and release it.
Sales
Lead qualifier
Asks what you need to know about an enquiry, and hands you the answers.
Cannot send anything for two weeks. You read the drafts and release it.
Your household
Answers everybody in the account. It starts the day you hire it, because somebody who can correct it is already in the room.
One named person
Answers one person and nobody else, and the rest of the account cannot read a word of it.
The monthly price covers the agent. Replies are paid from credits on top of it, and you set a cap per agent, so a busy month is bounded and a quiet one is cheap.
What it is allowed to do
Three ladders, written down before you hire it.
What it may decide alone, what it must bring to you, and what it never does whatever it is told. Every role writes its own three. The rungs below are drawn from across the catalogue, so read them as the shape rather than as one role's list.
On its own
- Answers from what you have published to it
- Says it does not know, and offers the question to a person
- Says who told it what, when two people disagree
Only with you
- Sending anything to anybody. It drafts and stops.
One rung, on purpose. Only a role that can act needs this column, and filling it out to balance the grid would invent capability.
Never
- Promises anything on your behalf: a price, a refund, an appointment
- Guesses at availability, eligibility or policy
- Commits you to a time, a price or a decision
They differ by role, because "never" means one thing for a front desk and another for somebody's calendar. What is above is drawn from across the catalogue rather than from any one of them. Each role's own three are on its page, in the words the agent is held to.
Before it goes live
It works the whole time. It just cannot send.
This applies to the roles that answer your customers. The ones that work for a household or one person start from the first day, because somebody who can correct them is already in the room.
Your agent receives every real message a customer sends and prepares the reply it would have given. Then it stops, and the reply goes into a queue for you instead of to the person who asked.
You read them, mark the ones that were wrong, and fill the gaps they expose. Nothing reaches a customer during this period, whatever the agent has been told, because the send path is closed rather than discouraged.
At the end you decide. If the drafts are not good enough, it never speaks to anyone and you have lost two weeks rather than a customer.
Where it answers
Fourteen ways in, and no integrations to wait for.
An agent answers on one of them, so a second channel is a second agent.
A squad is not built yet
Two of them, hired together, in one room.
The front desk that answers, and the qualifier that collects what you need to know. Each keeps its own channel, its own price and its own two weeks, plus a thread that arrives with both of them in it.
A swarm. No router picks who answers and no agent hands a customer sideways. If you cannot predict who replied, you cannot judge the reply.
Hiring two in one action is not built. You can hire both today and put them in a thread yourself; what is missing is doing it in one step, and it is the software that is behind now rather than the roles.
Included with every role
What comes with all of them.
Not a feature list. These are the things you will use in the first month.
A queue of everything it would say
During the two weeks it fills with drafts. After you release it, it keeps filling with what actually went out.
Questions it could not answer
Recorded as a gap rather than covered with a guess, so you can go and fill it. This list is the most useful thing you will read in the first month.
A handover to a person
When it should not answer, it stops and tells whoever you nominated, with the conversation attached.
A machine of its own, if you want one
By default an agent runs alongside your other agents hired for the same job, and the skills you add reach all of them. For $20 more a month it runs on its own, where nothing you give it touches anything else. No other business ever shares a machine with you.
A cap on what it can spend
Per agent. Replies draw down a balance you top up, so a runaway costs you the cap rather than a surprise.
The version behind every reply
What it said, to whom, and which version of your knowledge produced it. A wrong answer has a cause you can find.
A switch that stops it
One click, no ticket, no notice period. It stops answering and the container stops with it.
Your data, exportable
Knowledge, conversations, and every reply ever sent. Leaving should be a decision you can act on the day you make it.
Two languages in the same agent
English and Indonesian. It answers in whichever one it was written to, without being told to switch.
Questions
Before you hire one.
How long before it is answering?
Minutes to have it running and a few more to tell it about your business. On Telegram or the website widget you can watch it draft its first real reply the same afternoon. WhatsApp takes as long as Meta takes, because that paperwork is between you and them.
What does it do when it is not sure?
It hands over rather than guesses, and the question it could not answer is written down as a gap. An agent that invents an answer to look competent is the failure this product is built to avoid.
Can I see what it is doing?
That is the product. Every draft during the two weeks and every reply after it, in a queue you read, with the knowledge version that produced each one.
Do I have to change the tools I use?
No. If your team works in Slack, Google Chat, Mattermost or your own Matrix homeserver, the agent answers there. If your customers write on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, LINE, SMS, Telegram, Zalo or Twitch, it answers there. Anything outside those fourteen arrives through a webhook, which is where n8n, Make or your own software brings in what we have never heard of.
What if I want a role that is not on this page?
Then it does not exist yet, and we would rather say so. What is on this page is what has run on real messages. It can be built for you instead, on the same machinery and with the same fortnight before it is allowed to do anything.
How a custom role worksHire one that already knows the job.
If you would rather ask something first, that is fine too. We would rather talk you out of it than sell you a role that does not fit.
Not on this page? A role can be built for you, on the same machinery.
